The Covington Young Philanthropists are kicking off our Pennies for Patients project this week The Covington Young Philanthropists are kicking off our Pennies for Patients project this week. The Philanthropists will be coming into lunches to collect spare change each day. We will be visiting all 3 lunches. Coins we collect will go to the Pennies for Patients to help youth with cancer. Our students had a discussion about how cancer has impacted their own lives and/or someone they care about. We talked about empathy and had a nice positive talk about how cancer survival rates are at an all-time high.
